INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) — Cavaliers All-Star guard Kyrie Irving has returned to practice and says his leg injuries will not keep him off the court for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Wednesday night against Atlanta. Irving sat out Cleveland's practice Saturday and spent the weekend receiving treatment on tendinitis in his left knee and a sprained right foot.

MIAMI (AP) — Marlins general manager Dan Jennings has been named the team's new manager, taking over from Mike Redmond who was fired yesterday. The 54-year-old Jennings steps into his new job without the benefit of any professional managing experience and having never played in the majors. He does have 31 years in the business.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Dave Hakstol is the new coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, taking over after a successful 11-year run at the University of North Dakota. He led the school to the NCAA Tournament in every one of his 11 seasons and reached the Frozen Four seven times.

UNDATED (AP) — Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins is a unanimous pick on the Associated Press NBA All-Rookie team. He's joined by Chicago's Nikola Mirotic (NEE'-koh-luh MEER'-uh-tich), Philadelphia's Nerlens Noel, Orlando's Elfrid Payton and the Lakers' Jordan Clarkson.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe has been taken to a hospital after crashing his car into the wall during practice for the Indianapolis 500. The Canadian driver slammed into the wall going into turn three at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His car briefly slid on its right side before coming to rest upright.
