NEW YORK (AP) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (guh-DEHL') says the league asked for, but was not given, a just-released video showing former Ravens running back Ray Rice hitting his then-fiancee on an elevator. Goodell, in an interview with CBS that aired Tuesday, said no one at the NFL saw the video that TMZ posted online Monday.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York says he will let "due process take its course" before deciding whether to discipline Ray McDonald after the defensive tackle was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. York has told San Francisco's KNBR radio that he will not punish McDonald until he sees "evidence that it should be done or before an entire legal police investigation shows us something."

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — The Washington Redskins have placed nose tackle Barry Cofield on short-term injured reserve, ruling him out for at least eight games. Cofield suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to Houston.

UNDATED (AP) — Bob Suter, who was a member of the "Miracle On Ice" hockey team that won the Olympic gold medal in 1980, has died at the age of 57. He's the first member of the 1980 American hockey team to pass away. Suter is the father of Minnesota Wild star Ryan Suter.

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Austin "Goose" Gonsoulin, a former Pro Bowl safety for the Denver Broncos and a member of the team's Ring of Fame, has died at the age of 76. Gonsoulin was a member of the first Broncos team, fielded in 1960. He still holds the Broncos record for single-season interceptions with 11. He was a five-time Pro-Bowler.
