SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The San Francisco Giants say catcher Buster Posey was a late scratch from Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox because of hip tightness.
Posey's injury isn't believed to be serious and his status is day to day. He was replaced in the lineup by Trevor Brown.
Posey is batting .290 in 31 at-bats in 13 games this spring and has caught 49 innings.
