PHOENIX (AP) — San Francisco first baseman Brandon Belt left the Giants' game against Arizona on Tuesday night with a strained groin, replaced with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning by Joaquin Arias.

Belt appeared to be injured going after a foul ball, then was checked by a Giants trainer and asked to run. He was then promptly removed by manager Bruce Bochy.

The Giants said Belt would be further evaluated following the game.

Belt was 1 for 2 with a run batted in before his exit.
