FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — German sprinter Rouven Christ has been suspended after failing a drug test.

The local athletics federation in the state of Saarlandsuspended the 200-meter runner at the advice of the National Anti-Doping Agency. The banned substance involved was not given.

Christ finished fifth in the 200 at the indoor nationals at the end of February. He was also suspended from his job as a trainer of juniors.
