LONDON (AP) — Christian Eriksen has scored after 10.5 seconds for Tottenham against Manchester United for the Premier League's third fastest goal.
The fastest goal in the Premier League was netted after 9.9 seconds by Tottenham's Ledley King against Bradford in 2000.
Alan Shearer scored the next fastest goal after 10.4 seconds for Newcastle against Manchester City.
British broadcaster BT, which was filming Wednesday's Tottenham game, recorded Eriksen's goal as being 0.1 seconds slower than Shearer's.
Eriksen's goal against United at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday came directly after the kickoff. Jan Vertonghen's high, long pass from inside his own half reached Harry Kane who headed to Dele Alli and the midfielder flicked the ball across for Eriksen to finish.
