ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Enchanting Lady won the $75,000 Santa Paula Stakes for 3-year-old fillies by 2¼ lengths Sunday for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Martin Garcia, Enchanting Lady ran 6½ furlongs in 1:15.01 and paid $8.60, $4.20 and $2.80.

Tara's Tango returned $4.80 and $3.20, and Ben's Duchess was another three lengths back in third and paid $3.60 to show.

Sensitively, the 6-5 favorite, fell shortly past the finish line, unseating jockey Joe Talamo, who was taken to a hospital for examination. Sensitively got up and appeared uninjured.

Enchanting Lady's victory reunited Baffert, Garcia and owner Kaleem Shah less than 24 hours after they teamed to win the $1 million Santa Anita Derby with undefeated Dortmund.

"The last few days have been a lot fun," Shah said. "I named this filly after my wife and she really came through. I had a lot of confidence coming into today. Bob told me she's good sprinting and hopefully she can continue to move forward off of this."

The victory, worth $46,080, increased Enchanting Lady's career earnings to $134,280, with two wins in four starts.
