DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Duke freshman Trevon Duval is entering the NBA draft.

Duval announced his decision through the school Wednesday, and team spokesman Mike DeGeorge said the point guard plans to hire an agent.

Duval is the 14th Duke freshman to declare for the draft, and the second this offseason. Teammate Marvin Bagley III said last week that he was turning pro and is projected to be a high lottery pick.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement that Duval "showed unbelievable improvement" as the season progressed and that "we know that great things will happen for Trevon."

Duval's 207 assists were the fourth most by a Duke freshman, and he had four games with at least 10 assists. He also averaged 10.3 points.
