ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Johnny Dawkins has been introduced as the men's basketball coach at Central Florida just a week after being fired at Stanford. The former Duke All-American takes over a program that has struggled to find success since entering the American Athletic Conference. The Knights have won just 15 of 40 AAC games in the last three seasons.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Robert Griffin III has signed a two-year, $15.75 million contract with the Browns, a team on a perpetual mission to find a franchise quarterback. The former Heisman Trophy winner was released by Washington on March 7. He's been given no promises by the Browns who are expected to take a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Jason Day has teed it up on the second day of match play after hurting his back in the opening round. He showed no signs of a problem, hitting his drive on the 381-yard opening hole within 12 feet of the pin. He sank the putt for eagle.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Rio de Janeiro Olympic organizers have called off a test event for track cycling because the wooden track has not been installed in the new velodrome. Rio spokesman Mario Andrada says he is "120 percent" sure the venue will be ready for the Olympics which open on Aug. 5.

UNDATED (AP) — Dutch soccer great Johan Cruyff (KRYF) has died at age 68 after a lengthy battle with cancer. The skillful Cruyff starred for Barcelona and is considered among the greats of the game. He scored 33 times in 48 matches for the Netherlands in international play.
