NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Louis Dabney and Malik Morgan each scored 18 points, leading Tulane to a 79-74 overtime win against Drake on Monday night.
After two free throws from Dabney gave the Green Wave a 69-67 lead in regulation, Dominik Olejniczak's dunk tied it up with 39 seconds left. Dabney missed a jumper, and the Bulldogs had two attempts to take the lead, but neither fell.
Morgan scored 6 of Tulane's 10 points in overtime to lift the Green Wave (1-1). He was 7 of 14 from the field and grabbed six rebounds. Dylan Osetkowski had 7 points and seven rebounds, and his steal with 25 seconds left forced Drake to foul, sending Morgan to the line for two clinching free throws.
Graham Woodward had 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting for Drake. Reed Timmer had 19 points and five rebounds.
Tulane scored 17 points off Drake's 21 turnovers.
