FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — American Christian Pulisic got his first goal for Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, and the 17-year-old from Hershey, Pennsylvania because the fourth-youngest player to score in the Bundesliga.

Pulisic scored with a well-placed shot inside the near post from a pass from captain Mats Hummels in the 38th minute, and Dortmund went on to a 3-0 win over Hamburg.

"It was super, well played by Mats," Pulisic said in German.

Pulisic debuted on Jan. 30 and made his third start and 10th appearance, including seventh in the league, as Dortmund rested most of its regulars.

Pulisic was 17 years, 212 days on Sunday. Dortmund teammate Nuri Sahin holds the record for youngest scorer at 17 years, 82 days, according to Kicker magazine.

Pulisic made his U.S. national team debut on March 29, when he entered in the 81st minute of a 4-0 win over Guatemala in a World Cup qualifier.
