TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays finalized their coaching staff Friday, adding Dane Johnson as bullpen coach and Eric Owens as assistant hitting coach.
Also, Sal Fasano was named minor league pitching coordinator, Darold Knowles rehabilitation pitching coach and Rick Langford was senior pitching adviser. Heather Connolly was named major league administration manager and Joe Sheehan baseball research and development manager.
The Blue Jays previously announced that bench coach DeMarlo Hale, pitching coach Pete Walker, firstbase coach Tim Leiper and third base coach Luis Rivera would return to John Gibbons's staff. Brook Jacoby was hired in November to replace Kevin Seitzer as hitting coach.
