DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Achiever's Legacy won the $100,000 Desi Arnaz Stakes for 2-year-old fillies by 1 1/4 lengths Sunday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Achiever's Legacy ran seven furlongs in 1:23.25 and paid $21.60 and $9.90.

Maybellene returned $6.40. She is trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert and owned by his wife Jill.

Light the City was another neck back in third. There was no show wagering because of the four-horse field after Xoxo was scratched. Into Oblivion finished last.

Achiever's Legacy is co-owned and trained by Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer. His other horse Light the City was favored.

The race is named for the late singer and bandleader who was married to comedian Lucille Ball.
