This weeks snapshot is full of bull. 15 years is how long Eric waited for his Manti limited entry tag. His dad had a tag as well. When Eric shot his bull another stepped out and they had two bulls down in 90 seconds. The hard part Eric says was quartering both bulls and packing them out. It took them the whole day!
Lane waited even longer. 19 years for his Grouse Creek tag, but he shot this huge bull, one that the taxidermist scored at 280. Lane says the wait...was well worth it.
Jaxon drew a youth any bull tag, his last year he could put in. Jeff says he and his son had many highs and lows on the hunt. Jaxon hiked a lot of miles and it paid off with nice bull. Dad says he is sure proud of his sons efforts.
Tyson's brother Zac drew his limited entry tag with only five points! The only problem, Zac plays baseball for UVU and had limited time to hunt. On the second to last day, with his brother Koby on the calls, Zac connected with this nice bull at 50 yards. The whole family was there to help find the bull and get him out. An experience of a lifetime for the Willis family.
Hayden drew a youth elk tag and shot his first elk on the first day of the hunt. They were hunting the North Slope of the Unitas when Ol Hayden shot this nice five by six. His twin brother even showed up with the horses to pack it out.
But our winner tonight spent the last few months tracking down a bull of a lifetime. Carl Cox drew a Manti La Sal limited entry bull tag, A unit not known for monster bulls. Carl and his family hiked about ten miles a day into some of the roughest terrain in Sanpete county to find this beast and when they finally got close. They were shocked to see how big of bull this actually is. Carls bull scored an amazing 406 and 5/8th. A true monster. Carl says it was a neat experience to hunt with his two sons Quincy and McKade and brother in law Jay. Well Carl this is "no bull" you just won our big prize with THAT bull for having the snapshot of the week.
