Green River below Flaming Gorge dam
Anglers report good fishing as the browns are spawning. Try streamers (woolly bugger or sculpin) or a larger terrestrial (cicada, grasshopper or pine beetle), with a scud or midge larva as a trailer. Egg patterns also working. On windy days, spin anglers can use crankbaits, spinners, spoons and dark (black or crayfish) colored jigs. The brown trout have started digging to prepare their spawning areas (called redds), so do not step in places where fish have cleared away the algae.
