BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idahoans will have the opportunity to donate to more than 650 nonprofits and charities across the state in the state's third annual "Idaho Gives," the 24-hour, online fundraising blitz.

This year's event will take place on May 7. The fundraising — ranging from groups like the Idaho Youth Ranch to the Idaho Diaper Bank and the Boise Rescue Mission— will take place almost entirely on the web at idahogives.org.

Last year, roughly 600 nonprofits and charities raked in more than $780,000.

Stemming from similar events taking places in several other states, the Idaho Nonprofit Center has partnered with nonprofits throughout Idaho to encourage people to choose a cause to support.
