DUNLAP, Tenn. (AP) — A Sequatchie County woman has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for the alcohol poisoning of her 11-month-old son.

Media outlets report 28-year-old Heather M. Oakes was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to felony criminal attempt to commit aggravated child abuse.

Investigators had found vodka in the child's bottle last October after he was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Oakes contended the poisoning was accidental.

Prosecutors say the child has recovered.
