LAKE MARY, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Times and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune have won 12 first-place awards each in the 2015 Florida Society of News Editors Journalism Contest.

Each newspaper took top honors in half of the categories in their respective circulation divisions during Thursday's award ceremony. Nearly 200 awards were presented to news organizations across Florida at the FSNE and Florida Press Association summer convention, which runs through Friday at The Westin in Lake Mary, near Orlando.
