RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man whose body was found in an irrigation ditch north of downtown.

The Washoe County coroner identified the dead man on Friday as Anthony Vaux of Reno.

A nearby resident found him floating in the Orr Ditch about 4 p.m. Thursday along Valley Road about a block east of the University of Nevada campus.

Authorities say the cause of death is unknown. Results of a toxicology test are pending and won't be available for at least six weeks.
