PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Three men who unsuccessfully sued a former state university administrator in northeastern Pennsylvania over allegations that he sexually abused them are taking their case to a federal appeals court.

The accusers are former students at East Stroudsburg University. They say the judge made numerous errors that prevented them from getting a fair hearing of their claims.

Their lawsuit alleged former university vice president Isaac Sanders offered them gifts, scholarships and campus jobs, then victimized them.

Sanders repeatedly denied touching any of the men. A civil jury issued a verdict in his favor in 2014. He's never been charged with a crime.

The accusers filed documents Wednesday asking the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for a new trial.
