WICKENBURG, Ariz. (AP) — The main highway link between Las Vegas and Phoenix is temporarily closed in western Arizona because of a two-vehicle accident that killed two people.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says U.S. 93 is closed in both directions between Wickenburg and Wikieup (WHIH'-kee-up) because of the head-on collision Thursday morning.
A television news image showed two passenger vehicles just off the highway. They were upright but with smashed-in front ends.
The accident occurred 35 miles northwest of Wickenburg.
