HOUSTON (AP) — Deputies are seeking the driver of a van allegedly involved in a Houston-area sports car crash that left three people dead, including two high school students.
The Spring Independent School District released a statement Thursday saying two victims attended Dekaney High School.
Names of the car driver and the two passengers who died in Wednesday afternoon's accident weren't immediately released.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the Camaro lost control and the car slammed into an Interstate 45 overpass pillar.
Authorities say the Camaro apparently swerved to try to avoid a van that entered the roadway but the vehicles briefly collided. Sheriff's investigators say the van stopped, then sped away.
