TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after a small plane crash at a Florida airport.
Local media outlets report that the crash occurred Friday morning at Peter O. Knight Airport in Tampa.
Tampa Fire Rescue reports that the twin-engine Cessna was engulfed in flames as firefighters were called to the scene. Officials say the plane had been taking off and heading to Pensacola.
The victims weren't immediately identified.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
