SOCCER TALK — The FIFA Women's World Cup is set to begin this week in Australia and New Zealand, which means some amazing soccer will be played over the next few weeks.
Team USA, the reigning World Cup champions, is going for its third consecutive championship, which would be the first-ever three-peat in the sport. As we've seen before, this is a loaded team with the talent to make history.
And though there is plenty to talk about with Team USA as it chases history, an ad produced in France has gone viral ahead of the worldwide event.
The ad, which was produced by France Men's National Team and Project Orange, showcases some remarkable plays from some of the most well-known players on the men's team. And while these highlight plays bring out an emotional response to get people excited ahead of the World Cup, it's not what it seems.
A message appears on the screen that says: "Only Les Bleus can give us these emotions. But that's not them you've just seen."
The ad reveals the truth of the highlights just seen — visual effects to make you think it's the men's team.
Enjoy the World Cup as you watch to see if Team USA can make history. The USWNT will begin pool play Friday at 7 p.m. MDT (FOX) against Vietnam, the country's first-ever appearance.
