FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL — With the first day of school arriving for most kids, the San Antonio Spurs decided to give the kids a crack at announcing the matchups for the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament.
In a post captioned, "Kids say the darndest things," the team showed several children the logo for the team the Spurs were up against and asked them to say who it was and then draw the logos. The results, as you can imagine, were priceless.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were renamed the "Florida Sports Wolves," the Oklahoma City Thunder the "Orange Basketballs," the Sacramento Kings the "Purple Letters" or "Tiger Teeth," and the Golden State Warriors were aptly renamed the "Chicago Bridges."
Group play for the new tournament begins on Nov. 3, with the semifinals and championship on Dec. 7-9 in Las Vegas to decide the winner of the inaugural NBA Cup.
The Jazz are part of the West A group alongside the Grizzlies, Suns, Lakers and Trailblazers, and play their first tournament game in Memphis on Nov. 10. All tournament games, except for the championship, count toward the regular season standings.
