BRAZIL — We all know people who were born to perform. Take my friend, Sarah, for instance. She was a tap-dancing phenom by age 3, then moved on to school plays in high school. It didn't matter how complex a part was — she was all for it, as long as she got plenty of time on stage.

Nowadays, when Sarah isn't performing in major productions, she's telling larger-than-life stories to the crowds that naturally congregate around her everywhere she goes.

Yes, Sarah was truly meant for the stage. And I couldn't help but think of her when I saw this video from Brazil:

As the curtains close following a ballet performance, one young dancer is left standing out front. At first, it seems as though she had accidentally stood a little too far forward on the stage, causing her to be isolated from the other performers. But as the cheers increase, she smiles in a way that seems to suggest her placement might have been a tad strategic.

Either way, it's charming to see her bask in the applause until her teacher literally leads her off the stage. The world needs more stars like this little dancer.
