LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- A Utah couple is giving $15 million to Utah State University's Uintah Basin campus to build a high-tech center to train students in business, engineering, natural resources management and other programs.

The university says the donation from Marc and Debbie Bingham is the largest private gift in school history.

Marc Bingham is a graduate of USU. In 1971, he founded PDC -- Phone Directories Co. Debbie Bingham is a former PDC executive.

USU President Stan Albrecht says the Entrepreneurship and Energy Research Center will bring new opportunities to the Vernal branch. Construction is expected to begin next year.
