SALT LAKE CITY — Redwest Music Festival is moving forward in its third year with a slightly smaller setup than last year's event, which was partially derailed by inclement weather.
However, it'll still feature some big stars and rising names in the country and Americana scene. Ella Langley, Sam Barber and Tucker Wetmore will headline the two-day event, returning to the Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 West, on Oct. 16-17.
Koe Wetzel, Max McNown, Cameron Whitcom and Wyatt Flores are among the high-profile supporting artists across the two-day event.
Langley was named by the Academy of Country Music in 2025 as new female artist of the year, one of five Academy of Country Music award wins last year. She also led the field with seven award nominations in support of her debut album, which peaked at No. 20 on Billboard's U.S. charts — and No. 5 on its country category.
Her sophomore album is already garnering acclaim after it was released last week. Country Central praised it for having "songs for everyone" for the range she's able to carry between genres, while Rolling Stone dubbed her a "budding country superstar."
Barber, who rose to fame online and through "American Idol," also released a sophomore album this month after having already racked up platinum-level hits like "Straight and Narrow" and "Indigo" during his young career.
Wetmore and Shaboozey were each nominated for male new artist of the year during last year's Academy of Country Music award show.
Shaboozey also won a Grammy for "Amen," while his "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" placed second and third, respectively, in Billboard's 2024 and 2025 Hot 100 — a rare feat. The song was also used in a teaser video that organizers posted online days before Tuesday's lineup reveal.
A few additional names are anticipated to be released before October.
The event returns after last year's festival, which was supposed to feature the likes of Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves and Noah Kahan over three days, but didn't go as planned. Severe weather pushed through the city on the second day, ultimately canceling Post Malone's headlining performance.
One attendee visiting from Washington died after she was struck by a large plank from scaffolding at a nearby construction site as she and her friends evacuated the event. That sparked a lawsuit against the construction company filed earlier this year.
Others took to social media at the time to vent about the communication of the night's cancellation. Redwest organizers acknowledged the impact of that cancellation last week, announcing that they will offer a "discounted alumni ticket rate" and free access to a Thursday night opening concert before the festival for people who purchased tickets to last year's festival.
"You'll be able to purchase up to the same number of tickets as your original 2025 order at this special rate when tickets go on sale," they posted on social media.
Tickets for this year's event will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday. The discount will last through the end of Sunday.
