It's been 100 days of swimming, spinning, and cycling. Jogging, crunching, and lifting weights.

So now it's back to the San Francisco Bay Club to see how the group did.

Ken Meeker/ Polar 100: "The most stagering result here is the weight loss. That the San Francisco Polar 100 group collectively lost just under 300 pounds."

That's roughly ten pounds per person. For Steve Beitzer and Andrea Aerts it was a lot more-- 24 pounds each.

Andrea Aerts: "The weight loss was great. But for me the most dramatic change was my resting heart rate, because it was down in the 40's. So for me that was a real indication of my fitness."

Experts say working out with a heart rate monitor can help just about anyone, at any level of fitness.

Robert Stetson says it helped get him back in a routine.

Robert Stetson: "I was getting fat and sloppy and this turned me around. I'm now 15 pounds lighter, a fair bit faster. (The) last two races have been much better than the ones from the previous couple of years."

Ella Hrubant took 12 years off her body age.

Ella Hrubant: "I now have a body age of 50. And according to these papers I could actually go down to 40. I like being sporty at 40."

Jayne McCall: "If I can get back to 18 years old, which they say I can, there's nothing wrong with that."

For Jayne McCall the news was good.

Gwenyth and Astrid Terry say it's helped them develop good habits to last a lifetime.

Gwenyth Terry: "I've gone from a couch potatoe to an athletic person. I really feel like it's been a lifestyle and lifetime change and I'm really excited for the rest of our lives-- old and grey and exercising."
