It's no secret that most Americans don't get enough exercise or physical activity.

Now there's a new campaign trying to show people how easy it is to lead a more active lifestyle.

Whether you are riding around town to get to work.. or riding through the countryside for fun.. a bicycle is a great way to lead a more active lifstyle.

That's the message of Bike Right.. a new national campaign that's trying to get more people off their couches.. out of their cars.. and onto a bike.

MARK LANGTON, BIKE RIGHT "WE'RE JUST TRYING TO GET PEOPLE MORE AWARE THAT BIKE RIDING IS FUN, IT'S SAFE AND IT'S GOOD EXERCISE."

The campaign wants to let people who haven't ridden for a while know that there's a whole new generation of bicycles now..

Bikes that are more upright.. so they are easier to ride.. with less strain on the back..

DANIELLE DELANEY "I HAVE NOT RIDDEN IN YEARS, IT TOOK A SECOND TO GET BACK IN TO IT, BUT IT WAS GREAT"

There are also bikes with mini-motors.. to help power you up some of the bay area's steeper hills.

LESTER COBB "VERY EASY, MATTER OF FACT IT WAS EASIER GOING UP THE SLOPE THAN JUST PEDDLING AROUND HERE."

It's not just easy to do.. it's good for you as well. bike riding gives you a great aerobic workout.. and it's gentler on the joints than running.

It's easy for anyone.. of any age. and most of all.. it's fun.

"IT WAS GREAT"

"FUN TO RIDE.. HA HA HA"

"I THINK ONCE PEOPLE GET MORE COMFORTABLE ON THEIR BIKE THEY ARE GOING TO RIDE THEIR BIKE A LOT MORE."

There are now bikes to suit all ages, all body types, all fitness needs.. and all pocket books. In fact.. the hardest thing may be sorting out which bike is best for you.
