The BYU Cougars this afternoon staged an 85-minute practice on the eve of the team's departure for Fort Collins, Colorado, and Wednesday night's meeting with the CSU Rams.

Freshman center Brandon Davies bounced back well from Saturday's 12 minutes played versus Air Force, and is showing no ill effects of the appendectomy he underwent prior to the UNLV game.

Senior point guard Lamont Morgan, Jr. watched practice in sweats as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery.

Former Cougar Mike Hall sat next to Morgan to observe some of practice then caught up with a couple of his former coaches and teammates.

You can hear post-practice interviews with head coach Dave Rose and Jimmer Fredette by clicking on their audio links in the "Cougar Cuts" box to the right.

Rose says a key to his team's preparation is to "make sure that we understand how difficult it is to win games on the road in this league." Rose's teams are 22-14 on the MWC regular season road since he took over as head coach; 2-2 this season.

Rose expects a good crowd at Moby Arena; the Rams are averaging only 3,250 fans but drew 5,277 for their last home game with Wyoming. I have always said that even smaller crowds sound very loud at Moby; it's a great building when the fans are into it, with the stands right on top of the players at the sidelines. I anticipate a tremendous atmosphere on Wednesday night.
