I have only a short time before heading to the airport for my flight to Albuquerque, but I wanted to alert you to the Steve Alford Press Conference posted on golobos.com (see the video link on the right side of that page).

The New Mexico head coach is very complimentary of BYU as a team, and Jimmer Fredette in particular. A sampling:

"Of all the teams we've played this year, this is the best team, by far."

"(BYU) is a very, very potent team...they do a good job at both ends, extremely well-coached... this is a team that can really shoot the basketball."

"(Fredette) is as good I've seen anywhere in the country...a very special talent."

"(Fredette) could score 40 on any given night...he's a load."

"Fredette is the best player we've faced to date, and this is the best team that we've faced to date."

"I thought (the Cougars) were a really good basketball team last year, and I think they're a better team this year...that's scary."

The Lobos are calling for a "red-out" at the Pit, and the game will be a sell-out.
