Please allow us a self-serving comment today. We want to call your attention to a new radio station in the Salt Lake City area – a Bonneville station and a sister station to KSL. It’s AM820 (KUTR)!

What’s unique about AM820 is the fact it has been created and developed from the very beginning to be a radio station just for women. It is unapologetically feminine. Men, of course, can and will listen in, but the format is geared to provide information on issues of interest primarily to women. As station manager Chris Redgrave has said, the “goal is to provide a place for women to listen, reflect, respond and react in a conversational environment.”

Our colleagues who have put the station together have assembled an impressive array of hosts. Some are syndicated nationally, but most live and work among us and are familiar with the challenges and pressures facing contemporary Utah women. Their on-air discussions promise to be lively and meaningful.

While we cherish our long term association with all of our viewers and listeners, and sincerely hope you never turn away from KSL, we invite you, especially the ladies, to tune in and give AM820 a try.
