Whose days on Jeopardy apparently are numbered? Ken Jennings, of course!

It has been reported the Murray resident’s record setting run on the popular television game show will end during a late October broadcast. It is said he loses his 75th game, but not before amassing a total winnings of “around $2.5 million in cash and prizes.” For obvious reasons, neither he, nor the producers of the popular television show are confirming the reports, so we’ll likely only know for sure once the pre-taped program airs.

Whenever it is, Jennings’ remarkable string of giving correct answers has brought credit to his state.

Across the land, he has achieved celebrity status. Appearances on Leno and Letterman! Daily updates of his progress in prominent newspapers! Websites document every answer . . . and question! He has a growing cult following and comics have made him the subject of their satire.

Through it all, he has been a notable ambassador for Utah and his hometown of Murray.

KSL congratulates Ken Jennings for his singular accomplishment. If the reports are correct, once his run ends he will have established a new record for the most games and money ever won on a television game show.

So, what’s the answer that finally stumps the Jeopardy champ? Stay tuned!
