Many of our users have requested the ability to post wanted items inside of the corresponding classified product sub category instead of in the Classifieds Wanted section. In the past we have tried to prevent this type of behavior because we feel that the classifieds are for selling products and not listing products you want to buy. After reviewing the many request from our users, we thought of a new way to implement wanted ads into our classified sub categories. But before we move forward with the project, we would like your feedback.
The wanted items feature that we think would be helpful works as follows: We would create a "Wanted" button at top the of the list view of every classified sub category (near the search). When clicked, you would be taken to a list view of wanted ads for the particular classified sub category you are viewing. This feature would allow sellers who have not sold their item the ability to browse the wanted section of their sub category and find potential buyers. This feature would also eliminate all of the wanted ads that appear outside of the wanted section.
Let us know your thoughts on this idea. Do you like it? Do we need to go back to the drawing board? Should we just let wanted ads appear everywhere? Should we block wanted ads all together?
