Our tax dollars just paid for the first ever government study that took a look which states are sleeping and which ones are insomniacs.

The study finds West Virginians are getting less sleep than people in the rest of the country. Nearly one out of five West Virginians told the CDC during a phone survey that they didn't sleep well.

Experts say sleeplessness can lead to health concerns including obesity and heart disease.

People in North Dakota reported the fewest sleeping problems.
