A look at how NFL players will local ties did during the 4th weekend of the 2009 season.

  • WR Austin Collie (BYU) played for the Indianapolis Colts and caught 8 passes for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 31-9 win over the Tennessee Titans
  • TE Chris Cooley (Logan HS, Utah State) started for the Washington Redskins but recorded no stats in a 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers. It was the first time since his rookie year in 2004 that he did not catch a pass in a game.
  • NT Haloti Ngata (Highland HS) started for the Baltimore Ravens and recorded three tackles one for a loss in a 17-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals
  • DE Brett Keisel (BYU, Snow) started for the Pittsburgh Steelers and recorded 3 tackles in a 28-20 win over Detroit.
  • TE Daniel Coats (Northridge HS, BYU) started for the Cincinnati Bengals and recorded no stats in a 17-14 win over Baltimore.
  • CB Sean Smith (Utah) started for the Miami Dolphins and had 2 tackles and 1 pass deflection in a 31-27 win over the NY Jets on Monday Night Football.
  • FB Fahu Tahi (Granger HS, BYU) started for the Minnesota Vikings and caught 1 pass for 32 yards in a 38-10 win over St. Louis.
  • OL Chris Kemoeatu (Utah) started at left guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 28-20 win over Detroit.
  • OT Donald Penn (Utah State) started for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and caught a pass off a deflection and ran it 15 yards for a 1st down in a 33-14 loss to Philadelphia
  • DT Sione Pouha (East HS, Utah) started for the NY Jets and recorded 2 tackles in a 31-27 loss to the Miami Dolphins
  • DL Chris Hoke (BYU) played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 28-20 win over Detroit
  • DE Ryan Denney (BYU) played for the Buffalo Bills and recorded 1 tackle in a 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns
  • FS Aaron Francisco (BYU) played for the Indianapolis Colts and recorded a tackle in a 31-9 win over Tennessee
  • QB Alex Smith (Utah) backed up starter Shaun Hill in the 49ers 35-0 win over St. Louis
  • CB Brice McCain (Utah) played for the Houston Texans and recorded 2 tackles in a 28-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals
  • DE Jonathan Fanene (Utah) played for the Cincinnati Bengals and recorded 1 tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry in a 17-14 win over Baltimore
  • WR Todd Watkins (BYU) played for the Oakland Raiders and recorded no stats in a 44-7 loss to the NY Giants
  • OT Barry Sims (Park City HS, Dixie State, Utah) played for the San Francisco 49ers in a 45-0 loss to the Atlanta Falcons
  • DE CJ Ah You (Lone Peak HS, BYU, Snow) played for the St. Louis Rams and recorded no stats in a 38-10 loss to Minnesota
  • RT Kirk Chambers (Provo HS) played for the Buffalo Bills in a 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns
  • Long Snapper John Denney (BYU) played for the Miami Dolphins in 31-27 win over the NY Jets
  • DL Paul Soliai (Utah) started for the Miami Dolphins and recorded a tackle in a 31-27 win over the NY Jets
  • OG David Hale (Fremont HS, Weber State) played for the Baltimore Ravens in a 17-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals
