THE inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, is to resume - almost a decade after she was killed.The publication of the Metropolitan Police inquiry into the car crash that claimed her life has paved the way for the hearing to restart.Lord Stevens' 3.6m investigation demolished the conspiracy theories surrounding Diana's death, declaring it was nothing more than a tragic accident.Lady Butler-Sloss, who is now in charge of the inquests of Diana and her lover, Dodi Fayed, will begin the next stage of preliminary hearings at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, next week.Britain's former senior female judge will be tasked with deciding whether or not a jury will be needed. If so, they will be made up of members of the royal household because Diana was still considered a member of the royal family when she died.
