Senator Ted Kennedy died late last night after a year-long battle with brain cancer. He was reported to be working the phones on health care reform as recently as a couple of weeks ago. President Obama spoke this morning about the loss of his colleague and mentor and friend. He called Senator Kennedy the greatest United States senator of our time. "Virtually every major piece of legislation to advance the civil rights, health and economic well being of the American people bore his name and resulted from his efforts."
