LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Jaycee Carroll scored 29 points, 17 in the second half, to lead Utah State to a 77-63 win over Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne on Thursday night.
Stephen DuCharme scored 13 and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds, while Chaz Spicer had 10 for the Aggies (9-2). IPFW (4-9) was led by Jaraun Burrows with 17 points and Zeljko Egeric had 11.
The Mastadons brought the game to within five, 53-48, with 10:30 to play, but nine consecutive points, seven of them from Carroll, kept IPFW from getting any closer.

A cold-shooting IPFW squad tossed up 28 shots from the field, making 11, four of them 3-point shots, and turned the ball over 10 times in the first half.
IPFW defeated USU 64-59 in Fort Wayne during the 2004-05 season.
