STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Tonga "Junior" Tea, a first-team All-America defensive tackle at Snow College in Utah, plans to play football at Oklahoma State, coach Mike Gundy said Wednesday.

Tea, a 6-foot, 310-pounder from Anchorage, Alaska, plans to join Oklahoma State's team in January and will participate in spring practices, Gundy said.

"He'll be a great addition for us and will give us some strength and maturity on the interior of our defense," Gundy said. "We're very excited about his attitude and the excitement he has about the game of football."

Tea played one season of football at East Anchorage High School and redshirted for one season at Snow.

As a sophomore, he finished with 24 tackles, including nine for losses, 3 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble. Snow finished 11-1 and was ranked No. 2 in the final National Junior College Athletic Association poll.
