Dr. Dan McConkie is taking a different approach to dentistry: he is seeking to make himself available for his patients at all costs. Instead of only being open the traditional 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Dr. McConkie has extended his hours to include early morning and, soon, evening appointments. This is because he feels it's difficult enough for people to find time to see the dentist without having to take time off work.
Mountain Vista Dental Care in Harrisville performs general and cosmetic dentistry. This includes oral surgery and rotary endodontics, a more efficient way to perform a root canal. The practice also offers a free lifetime whitening program that has been quite popular.
Dr. McConkie attended Marquette Dental School in Wisconsin. He graduated a few years ago and started working as a dental associate in West Valley City for a year-and-a-half. When the opportunity to get involved with Mountain Vista Dental Care arose, Dan decided to take it. Since graduating, he has taken numerous continuing education courses to become more proficient in his profession.
The practice has been successful thus far, but it still has room to grow. Eventually Dr. McConkie would like to bring a second associate on board to better serve patients and to help cover his extended hours.
Patients of Mountain Vista Dental Care are not only treated like family members, but they also have a say in the dental care they receive. Dr. McConkie and his staff are happy to listen and use a team approach to provide patients with the best dental care possible.
