It seemed like it was going to be one of those crazy mornings. I was running around from one interview to the next while trying to get a different story to come through. Stressing about my deadline, I pulled into the Salt Lake Chamber to find a front row parking spot! Things were turning around. All this running around meant leaving my lunch in the work fridge (when you get up at 3:30 AM lunch sounds good at about 9:30 or 10 AM). So I stopped at a Subway only to find their register was down. So they gave me the sandwich free! Then when I got back into the newscar I spotted my mic stand (pictured here). Finally! It was sitting in the door pocket of the passenger door. Weird place for it. Usually I just do interviews tete-a-tete but about once a week I am sent to a press conference. Without my mic stand I've had to tape the microphone up there or balance it by all the other microphones. I'm sure the other photographers and reporters will be glad to know I found my mic stand. So far Monday has been good to me.
