AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) -- The Utah Utes saw plenty of quarterback draws last week against Colorado State -- and they'll see plenty of keepers by Air Force option quarterback Shaun Carney tomorrow night.
The Utes improved to 6-and-4 overall, 4-and-2 in the Mountain West Conference with a 35-to-22 win over the Rams last week -- but coach Kyle Whittingham found enough flaws in the win to keep the team busy this week.
Whittingham called the Q-B draw the bulk of the Rams' running game, something Utah wasn't especially prepared for. C-S-U rushed for some 140 yards, at least half of those from the draw.
Still, Whittingham's not worrying about the quarterback draw this week.
He says that's because teams that play Air Force play for the run on virtually every snap.
