eremiah Jensen Reporting
The Utah Jazz begin a new season just one week from today and already they are facing a big distraction. Several players were questioned Sunday by Portland police who are investigating an alleged sexual assault.
Police in Portland have said that Jazz players are not suspects in an alleged sexual assault that took place on Sunday.
According to reports, police responded to a call at the Riverplace Hotel, where the Jazz were staying before Monday night's game with the Portland Trailblazers.
A woman, who according to police "may or may not have been sexually assaulted," is not cooperating with the investigation.
Today the jazz didn't have much to say, but did release a brief statement before practice, confirming the investigation is underway, but that no players are considered suspects.
Again, Jazz players are not suspects in this case, but the investigation is still open.
