Press ReleaseONTARIO, Calif. - The Utah Grizzlies (22-21-6-9) defeated the Ontario Reign 5-1 Friday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. Mike Mole stopped 30 of 31 shots in the win and Vladimir Nikiforov scored Utah's first two goals.

Utah led 1-0 after one period as Nikiforov successfully completed a wraparound on Ontario netminder Jeff Zatkoff just 3:34 into the game.

The Reign tied the game at one on a power-play goal 6:38 into the second before Nikiforov responded again 58 seconds later starting a stretch of four-straight Utah goals to finish the game. Evan Kotsopoulos added his 14th of the year to make it 3-1 with 7:27 left in the second period.

Utah added two goals 1:03 apart in the third to build their lead to 5-1. Mike Walsh scored a power-play goal to cap off his two-point night (one goal, one assist) and Dan McDonald scored his first professional goal 12:01 into the third.

Tim Maxwell also added a two-point night with two assists for the Grizzlies.

Utah continues their eight-game road trip with game seven Saturday in Stockton. Face-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, March 11 to host Idaho at 7:05 p.m.
