This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

I find it difficult NOT to see majestic views from any angle or direction in Springdale, at the entrance to Zion National Park. This part of our state features jaw-dropping beauty everywhere you look.

So the Majestic View Lodge is appropriately named. Unsurpassed vistas are visible throughout this spectacular facility. Melva Benson, general manager, tells me the property opened in September 2001, and 69 hotel units were added in 2003. It is located three miles from the entrance to Zion National Park, and during peak season guests can access a free shuttle bus to the park from just outside the front door.

Each of the units is situated on a knoll above the main highway and has a balcony facing a panorama of beauty. Each building has a different theme, but all rooms are equipped with log furniture and western accoutrements and accent pieces. The lodge and restaurant also happily accommodate groups for retreats and parties.

I loved wandering through the gift shop and trading post. This large store has appropriate Western, Native American and Southwestern art and jewelry. Shoppers will also find fashionable clothing and artwork from local and regional artists. During my visit, I enjoyed two wonderful meals in the restaurant and saloon. The menu includes fine steaks, buffalo, seafood and chicken. You can also enjoy more casual fare like burgers, sandwiches and salads. The food, service and ambiance were all exceptional.

Even if you don't stay, shop or eat at the Majestic View Lodge, you must visit the wildlife museum. It is magnificent! An internationally known wildlife company designed the 3,000 square feet of displays, which present the wildlife in accurate natural surroundings down to the finest detail. I enjoyed my time in the museum and only wished I could stay longer to look at this wonderful presentation.

The Majestic View Lodge is a beautiful facility in a spectacular community.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
