NEW YORK, Oct 12, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The producers of the Broadway revival "The Apple Tree" have cast Marc Kudisch, Walter Charles and Brian d'Arcy James opposite star Kristin Chenoweth.
The Roundabout Theatre Company will open the musical after Thanksgiving at Studio 54 for a limited engagement, Playbill said Thursday.
The show is made up of three one-act musicals based on Mark Twain's "The Diary of Adam and Eve," Frank R. Stockton's "The Lady or the Tiger?" and Jules Feiffer's "Passionella." The play debuted in 1966 and was nominated for seven Tonys.
The three actors will play the different male leads as well as supporting roles in the other scenes.
Tony-award winning Chenoweth returns to the roles of Eve, Ella and Princess Barbara that she played in last year's production by City Center Encores.
