Items belonging to the late writer TRUMAN CAPOTE will be auctioned off in New York City next month (NOV06).
The memorabilia is owned by Capote's close friend JOANNE CARSON, the former wife of late US chat show host JOHNNY CARSON. Capote died in her arms in 1984 aged 59.
Among the 337 lots at the Bonhams auction are a torn scrap of paper on which Capote wrote 'I'm a genius'. (GES/LAT/ES)
