This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Frustrated after her own experience trying to find a modest and stylish wedding dress, Nicole Thomas determined to do something about it for others. Nicole, who has a degree in fashion design, and her husband, Sean, who has an accounting degree, teamed up with another couple to start a business dedicated to providing easy access to modest wedding gowns. The result was latterdaybride.com.

At its initial launch in 1999, latterdaybride.com was primarily an Internet retailer that sold advertising to retailers that sold modest dresses. A short time later, Nicole decided to start selling her own selection of modest gowns online, and in 2001, she opened a full retail location in Salt Lake City. Four years ago, Nicole and Sean bought out their other two partners and now run the company together.

Today LatterDayBride & Prom caters to a niche market of anyone searching for a modest gown or a dress with more coverage. The business services brides of all faiths, both locally and internationally. Last year, LatterDayBride & Prom sold to brides in 49 of the 50 states and to many countries worldwide.

In addition to modest bridal gowns, LatterDayBride also offers a wide selection of bridesmaid and prom dresses. Nicole decided three years ago to break into the prom market and says it was a wise decision. In December, she opened a brand new location in the Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City that offers a larger showroom with more sample dress sizes in the store.

Nicole hopes to continue growing LatterDayBride & Prom, possibly opening more retail locations around the state. Her educated and trained staff can help all customers have a high-end boutique experience from start to finish. She anticipates continuing to build her company's brand through continuity and by putting her signature touches on everything.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
